7th and 8th April
Pop Up Restaurant returns to The Barlow
Once again the Barlow, Edgworth will be hosting a pop-up restaurant during the weekend of 7th and 8th April.
The restaurant will be run by Eat (Employment and Training) Pennines Ltd – a social enterprise which supports young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to get into training and employment by running accredited training and apprenticeship programmes. Some of the young people involved will have grown the food, some will cook it and some will serve it.
Bookings are now being taken for Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. Please contact Sara at The Barlow on 07837 503804 or email email@example.com . More information on our website www.thebarlow.co.uk/whats-on or our Facebook page – The Barlow, Edgworth
About EAT Pennines Ltd
The founder and director took over a boarded up pub in Ramsbottom in 2011 – the Eagle and Child – and has since run it as a successful social business. A new traineeship programme was launched in October 2014 in partnership with Babington Group.
Catherine, aged 20 from Horwich has found success from the scheme:
“Having been unemployed for as long as she could remember, Catherine had tried a variety of different courses and training providers and had never found one that worked for her. Within a couple of weeks of starting with EAT Pennines, she found she really enjoyed it and was incredibly happy she’d come on board.”
